Below is a guide to give you an idea of the costs involved in commissioning an artwork.  Please note that the prices reflect the cost of a single animal painted on that particular size of canvas.  For multiple animals you will need to add a further £50 per extra animal.  All paintings are supplied unframed.

These prices are a guide, canvas sizes can be matched to the clients requirements. 
A £50 non-returnable deposit is required prior to work commencing on any painting.
The balance of the fees is payable on collection of the artwork.  Fees may be paid in interest free instalments, however, the painting will not be handed to the client until all balances are paid in full.

Do you work from photographs?
Yes I do.  I can work from photographs supplied by you but I do prefer to meet the animal and take my own reference shots. This gives me a good idea of the animals character and I can also see the true colour of their coat and eyes, something that the camera can miss and printing processes can fail to show.  I do not charge any extra for this service.  If you are supplying the photographs try to supply several different ones and preferably photographs taken outside.  Some of my best paintings have been of animals 'doing'.  Something that you know only that animal does, maybe the way they sleep, play, a look, jump, a nuzzle, or, maybe their in a certain surrounding that is typical to them.

I would love a painting of my animal but it died sometime ago.
No problem.  Hunt through your photo album and I'll do my best.

I've got several animals I want on one painting but I don't have a photograph of them together.  What can you do?
In this case I will take as many reference photos as I can of the individual animals and also size comparison shots of them as a group.  If you also want an animal who has passed away to be incorporated then I will need your reference photos.  I can then go away and try different layouts before I commence the painting.  Remember you can have different species - Horse and hound, Cat and dog.

Do you do Framing?
I don't do framing and I don't supply my paintings framed because I think that the choice is personal to you and you decor and taste.  I paint on 'Boxed' canvases which have a finished edge and can be hung on a wall as they are or framed.  If you are interested in framing the painting I can put you in touch with a very good local framer
